Personal tier lists with ratings and short reviews
I often find myself stuck on a piece of media after finishing it; I created this site as a way to help me form my thoughts and opinions into something both tangible and cohesive, almost like Dumbledore's Pensieve in Harry Potter.
All entries are rated according to my personal enjoyment, not by any objective definition of "quality". Entries are sorted within each tier first by Rating (highest first), then hidden Weight (lowest first), and finally Watch Date (newest first).
Any show with a linear storyline that runs longer than 3 seasons will inevitably have a disappointing ending, and anything stretching past 5-6 seasons is guaranteed a terrible ending. I have yet to find any show other than a sitcom or anthology that can survive past 3 seasons without quickly declining into slop.
In my usual over-thinking it style, I try to alternate my media consooooming by an even balance of Genre, Length and Setting/Time Period. I can't follow a long Modern-Day Crime Thriller with another long Modern-Day Crime Thriller, it has to be a Western, or maybe a short Victorian Drama.
